The last few weeks in Reception, we have been doing
different activities and played lots of different games. Last week we talked
about dinosaurs. We read books about dinosaurs, we talked about what dinosaurs
look like, what they eat and what happened to them. Marcello told me that they
are “extinct”. When I asked him what happened to them he said that “a big rock
smashed on the road” – a very big rock indeed.
The children made their own drawings of T-Rexes,
Brontosauruses and Brachiosauruses. They cut them out and we made a beautiful
display:
During the last few weeks the children have also been expanding
their vocabulary through games such as Memory:

and practicing counting and recognizing numbers when we
played Ladybird Bingo:
