In Reception we have been
talking about different signs of spring. On our display board we created our own
spring garden. The children drew pictures that we cut out and put up. In our spring garden the sun has come out; we have beautiful trees and flowers, butterflies
and birds and a vegetable patch with cucumbers, tomatoes and carrots. We have a
slide and several trampolines. One child really wanted to draw a Christmas tree
and even though it is a bit out of season it brightens up our spring garden.
One child did remark that “A Christmas tree in spring is silly”.
The children have also been
playing spring related games. One of their favourites is Spring Time Bingo:
