The new school year is getting off to a great start. We have
been enjoying lovely weather recently and the children seem eager and ready to
learn. In Reception and Year 1 there are many new children this year and quite
a few of them are just now beginning to learn English.

In class, we have been focusing on learning basic words such
as snack, lining up, drink, toilet etc. Now we are moving on to learning
colours, numbers from one to ten and body parts. Most children can already count
to at least ten in their home language and they are happy to share
this knowledge.
