In Year 5, students were recently taught how to write literary essays.
To assist them in producing a clear and well structured character analysis, they were given an explicit
writing model to guide them. When students had a greater understanding of how to organise their
thoughts and content, some very impressive outcomes were realised below.

By giving students clear structural examples to follow, they were able to produce organised content,
and feel both empowered and proud of their work. In following the research of bilingual education
