Year 1 and 2

Hello from Mr Owen.  This is my first blog about what my lovely children are doing at school.  It is not far off the summer vacation and we are investigating insects in Year 1 and discovering lots of things about transport in Year 2.  I've only seen my EAL children for three weeks, but already in that time the 1's have been talking about insects, writing about them and enjoying reading about insects.  The 2's have been talking about how they come to school, what transport they use on vacations and how the very first underground railway was built (did you know it is 150 years ago this year?)  We all enjoy talking together, reading as a group plus on our own and building up special vocabulary associated with the units in class.
