Reviewing body parts

The last several weeks in Reception we have been learning autumn and Halloween vocabulary. The children have enthusiastically shared with me what they will dress up as for the school Halloween party. I think there will be quite a few Elsas and witches there tonight!

This week we are reviewing body parts and we have been playing body parts memory game and one of the children's favourite games: "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." We have also been making links to the children's mother tongues:

Camily said: "In Portugese is lingua." (tongue)

Anna was excited to play the game: "I know this. It was in my Ipad."

Adilen sang the "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" song to me.

Bryce changed the subject a little bit and said: "It's bijna my birthday."

Pedro liked the Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes game

Bryce knew most of the body parts in English

Simon and Sofya enjoyed the game

Lulu could also name several body parts

Melania told me what several body parts were called in Italian
