Constructing with different types of shapes in Reception led to the children using a wide variety of language to describe the small worlds they had created for themselves.
Reyan and Nathaniel built robots. Reyan proudly described his - "These are his arms and these are his legs. He can fly!" - while Nathaniel wanted to make his robot's legs stronger - "It broke. I need glue to stick, stick, stick!"
Nino and Jiawen made buildings out of blocks - "This is my dance school. It's big(ger) than her."
