This morning the school was buzzing, everyone had exciting holiday experiences to share.... also in EAL.
To freshen up our minds, we started with sharing what holiday or break is in our languages. Do you know this word in your language?

Zahra, Thibault, Andee and Oliver couldn't wait to share all about their adventures, so we teamed up to start sharing straight away. We found out that it is not always easy to re-tell where your talk partner has been, especially if it is destinations like Groningen or Isle of Wight.

Before we started writing our story, we did a quick draft of key words, they needed for their story writing. We always start by sounding out words and listen to how they sound when we are unsure how to spell them. This word bank helps us afterwards when we are writing. We ran out of time today, but not to worry because the amazing writers REALLY REALLY want to finish their piece next week!
