World Book Week at the ISH

This week at the ISH Primary, we celebrated International Book Day through a variety of exciting reading, writing and creative projects. In Y5 EAL lessons, we wrote raps about story characters, created character descriptions and read stories in our home languages. In Y5 classes, we dropped everything to read when the bell rang, decorated potatoes as our favourite storybook characters and listened to stories read to us by our teachers in their home languages. It was an exciting time that made us even more excited to keep reading in all of our languages!
