The last couple of weeks, we have talked about what happens in autumn, that the leaves turn in colour and that we celebrate Halloween. We have played games related to autumn and Halloween, and the children have happily shared their knowledge about the subject. This week at the EAL table we have been finishing our autumn tree. The children have drawn and coloured beautiful autumn leaves - most of them are orange, yellow, brown and red, but we do have a couple of leaves with a bit of pink and blue on them. Here is a selection of quotes from the children while they were working on their leaves:
Tiffany: "They fall down the tree" (the leaves).
Malinda: "They turn in colours in yellow and orange and brown."
Saad: "I make this one with the brown." (He coloured his leaf brown).
Martha: "It's gonna be very easy to cut it out!"
Ibrahim: "It blows so much outside and the leaf fall down."
