Materials and property walk with Year 1

In Year 1, the children have been learning about materials and properties. This morning Luka, Okitha, Simon, Lars and Ms. Susanne went on a walk around school to look for different things made from materials such as wood, plastic, metal and glass. We found a wooden table and we used words such as smooth and hard to describe it. Then we walked to the Plaza to have a look at the Christmas tree. We agreed that normally trees grow in the forest and are "made of" wood. However, what do you think the ISH Christmas tree was made of?
