Fun Club in Year 5 and 6

Our Year 6 Fun Club wrote hello in their own language.
Can you guess which languages they speak at home?

We have started our second week of Fun Club and the children have already learned a lot. We have learned to introduce ourselves and we have talked a lot about feelings. One boy told me that he is both happy and sad. He is happy in his new class here at ISH but the fact that he does not understand everything (yet) makes him sad. However, after less than two weeks it is a pleasure to see that the children understand increasingly more.

Adam and Lucas from Year 6 are translating feelings into their identity languages

We have talked about where the children are from, their families, body parts and maths terminology such as shapes, numbers, add, subtract etc. We will of course revisit these themes repeatedly over the next weeks.

The Year 5 Fun Club is playing a shapes and colour game... and having lots of fun!
