We started off by figuring out what 'living' and 'non-living' meant and we sorted things into those groups.
We also looked really closely at the parts of a plant and tried to remember what these words are in our Mother Tongue. This really helps when we learn new vocab.
We also learnt what plants need to grow and we role played planting a seed and wrote instructions using bossy words.
We used plants for Maths too. We were looking at size. There is so much you can do! You can put them in order from smallest to biggest. You can describe the size using lots of words like: small, tiny, gigantic, big, enormous (and more).
You can compare them using: big, bigger, biggest and small, smaller, smallest. We also used these words to describe ourselves!
Oliver also found a book about size. Why do you think he likes this book so much?
