Year 1 Fun Club - Retelling a Story 'The Three Little Pigs'

For our beginner students, it's really hard to retell a story, even if we know it in our Mother Tongue!

We have been practising this skill, and using pictures to do it.

First we read the story of the Three Little Pigs.  We have read it before so that helped us remember what happened!

After we read it, we looked at the picture cards and helped eachother put them in order.  This is great because it means we can look at the pictures for clues about what is happening.

We were talking about the houses that the 3 Little Pigs built.  In this picture we are saying that the house made of BRICKS would be the strongest.  Look at us showing what STRONG looks like!!

In this picture we are showing that the BIG BAD WOLF tried to blow the houses down.  We are pretending to blow the house down too!
