Yr 1 - 3D Shapes

We are really excited learning all about 3D shapes.

We have spent some time learning the 3D shape names (and what we call them in our Mother Tongue).

Here we are learning the words used to DESCRIBE 3D shapes by practising making our bodies into round shapes, curved shapes, zigzag shapes, wobbly lines and straight lines.

Knowing these words helps us with categorising and grouping these shapes.  It's really important for us to spend time grouping, sorting and categorising because it helps us develop our vocabulary around the characteristics of the 3 D shapes.

Listen for our Maths language!!

ALSO... SOMETHING AMAZING HAPPENED DURING OUR LESSON...
Francesco's first tooth fell out!!!!  Isn't that amazing :)
