Yr 1 - 3D Shapes

This week we continued working with 3D shapes.  We are building our vocabulary around the properties of 3D shapes.  Last week we used words like straight, wobbly and pointy. This week we discovered that Mathematicians use special maths words like: corner, edge and face.

 Here Francesco and Tete are looking closely at the shapes and filling in a chart about each one.  

We are working on really listening when others are sharing their ideas.  

Fleur and Roman are really concentrating on filling in the properties of a cyllinder!

 Finished!  We did it!

 Almadi and Marko could match the shape to its name, picture, 

a real life example and a description.

This was a tricky activity but Luis, Xinyang, Aariz and Simone 

kept going until we got all of them done.
