| From first draft to final copy |
In year 6 the children have been working on developing ideas and adding details to their writing. In EAL we have been following the same process. The children wrote a quick first draft about a personal event. Over the next few weeks, they added details to their paragraphs. We also spent a whole lesson on editing and revising their writing. We checked for the correct use of words such as 'there', 'their' and 'they're'. We looked at spelling and punctuation and they improved their writing by adding descriptive vocabulary.
