Year 3 - Looking More Closely at our Opinions

In year 3 we have been writing letters to express our opinions about books. We worked hard to try and convince others to pick up these books and read them too.

To explain our opinions better we first looked at pictures for secret information. Now we are also looking more closely at the text to find even more evidence

In EAL we have been using graphic organisers to structure our thoughts and to make connections to the evidence we found in the book. We focussed on a good 'flow' in the sentences so our audience understands our reasons.

Our additional focus of the week was correct use of capitals in our writing both in the classroom and in EAL. To remind ourselves to not forget these!

Looking at the text!

Feel free to ask at home and bring in a post-it to school so we can add yours!

Listening to each other, being a real audience is really important.
