In year 5, in writing workshop we are writing historical essays based on the American Revolution.
During EAL sessions we read this beautiful story, we discussed it and we stepped into the shoes of the main character, Nathaniel Hale. Then we wrote a page of diary from his point of view.
This way we discussed point of view, past tense and the importance of including a small moment in our essays.
