ECIS MLIE (Multilingual Learning in International Education) Conference-March 2019

The ISH EAL team is gearing up to attend and present at one of the world's leading conferences on the topic of Multilingualism in International Education this coming March. Our school has been been a leading force in the field of language learning for some years now, as we actively work to tap into all of our children's languages and cultural knowledge, encouraging them to use this as a springboard into new learning and new languages. Using the translanguaging approach, or flexible language use, we welcome the whole child into our school and all the valuable knowledge they bring. This important multilingual ethos, and supporting practice, was established by ISH educators attending this very same conference over ten years ago. We have been nurturing its empowering message ever since.

As a result, our ISH children are happy, thriving and succeeding in all their learning endeavors.

We journey, as a team, to London in six weeks time to share our growing, multilingual ISH practices with others and to learn further from the research greats that have brought this far already.

Congratulations ISH EAL team!
