At the start of the year in Term 1 the Writing Workshop unit was Small Moment stories, students wrote true stories about themselves, based on their own experiences.

| Now in Term 3 the genre is Realistic Fiction and this student has come a long way. She is writing a series of books based on one character, called Harmeli. |

| She has learned the features of the Writing genre, her writing pieces are lengthy, her sentences convey meaning, she knows how to use a range of punctuation and she is applying illustration techniques, recently learned from an illustration study. |
