In Year 5 we are working on expanding our sentences by using adjectives. One of the activities was related to word order. During this lesson, we started by looking at where we would put the adjective in sentences in our mother tongue (Danish, Russian and Azerbaijani). Then we compared the word order in English with the word order in our mother tongues. This made it easier for the children to remember where to place adjectives in English.
